As a designer my professional profile is characterized by my ability to respond to a clients needs and consistently produce quality work. I have a proven track record of putting together designs that will work from the print shop to your bottom line.
Staying on top of ever changing technology and software allows me to apply my creative abilities to all forms of media. I am a designer who possesses all the tools to create and apply ideas whether you need a business card, web site or an identity system.
I was born and raised in Brazil, where I studied and received a B.A. in Graphic Design at the University Estacio de Sa. While I was a student there I began working at Container Design Studio’s and J.Madsen Design. During this time I had the opportunity to work with companies of all sizes. Some of those projects included work for InterContinental Hotel, International nonprofit organization Junior Achievement, the Brazilian government oil companies Petrobras and Transpetro.
My passion for blending art with technology has led me to the web design field. I began working in this field for Terra Networks which is the largest news portal web site in Latin America. There I was able to develop my knowledge in a real world setting of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Web for Mobile, Broadcasting, and creating new tools for web and Social Media. I moved up to Team Coordinator which allowed me to work in a management capacity overseeing a broadcast and web design team. In that position I was traveling extensively throughout South America and North America.
These experiences have given me the maturity and flexibility to deal with diverse situations and cultures. This has enriched not just my work but also my personal life. My desire to grow and learn has led me to become fluent in English and Spanish in addition to my native Portuguese. I continue to pursue educational opportunities to add to my skills and interests.
Today I am an instructor at a Community College and work as a freelancer as well. As an instructor I take pride in the opportunity to further the education of a very diverse student body. I love art and design and how technology relates to them. My enthusiasm extends into my desire to share my knowledge with others who have an interest in these fields.
My experience covers hands on work from, Graphic Designer in a print shop atmosphere, to management in a web based international communications business. My diverse background has given me the ability to identify the requirements and potential opportunities available for students of all levels seeking careers in the fields I am teaching.
On my free time I dedicate myself to studies and volunteer work.
